President Donald Trump has nominated Tennessee’s Chief Deputy Attorney General Paul Ney Jr. to serve as General Counsel at the Department of Defense, according to a statement on the White House’s website. Ney has been a partner in Patterson Intellectual Property Law PC in Nashville. He previously served as Acting General Counsel of the Department of the Navy, as Principal Deputy General Counsel of the Department of the Navy, and as Deputy General Counsel for Legal Counsel in the Department of Defense.
