Although she resigned and pleaded guilty to two felony charges, former Nashville Mayor Megan Barry still faces two allegations of ethics violations, The Tennessean reports. The Council Board of Ethical Conduct decided on Wednesday to allow two of four ethics allegations against Barry to continue. Hearings will be held in the coming weeks, and if Barry is found to have formally violated ethics rules, she could be made to pay additional restitution to the city. The complaint also raises the issue of a potential of conflict of interest that occurred due to Barry’s affair with her bodyguard, in regards to her decision-making skills on police matters.
