A federal judge today dismissed Tennessee’s lawsuit against the U.S. government over refugee resettlement, The Tennessean reports. The lawsuit, which was pushed by state lawmakers via a 2016 resolution, claimed that the federal government violated the 10th Amendment and was not complying with the Refugee Act of 1980. The state hoped to halt all refugee resettlement in Tennessee until all associated costs were paid by the federal government.
