The #MeToo movement has sparked complaints against senior partners at some Big Law firms, but American Lawyer columnist Vivia Chen says the bigger issue remains pay inequality. “Sexual harassment claims are a personal attack on an individual, and sex sells, so there is nothing quiet about that,” an employment lawyer tells Chen. “Gender pay is not sexy and compensation systems are very complicated.”
