Bill Cosby was sentenced today to three to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting a woman 14 years ago, The New York Times reports. Judge Steven T. O’Neill also upheld a state board’s decision to recognize Cosby as a “sexually violent predator,” so he must register as a sex offender. Prosecutors had asked that he receive the maximum sentence of 10 years. Cosby will head straight to prison as the judge denied his request to remain free on bail while he pursues an appeal.
