The 23rd Judicial District Drug Court on Thursday was honored with a proclamation from the Tennessee legislature recognizing the court’s 20 years of service to the citizens of Cheatham, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, and Stewart counties. “The program promotes responsibility and accountability and teaches participants to become productive citizens in the community,” Circuit Judge Suzanne Lockert-Mash said. “The drug court program is an alternative to incarceration and integrates chemical dependency treatment and community resources with the criminal justice system.”
