April 28, 2020
I am writing to inform you that, after much consideration and review of reopening plans for the state, the in-person 2020 TBA Annual Meeting in Knoxville is being converted to a virtual member event this year. The event will take place during the week of June 15 and will include programming, networking opportunities and a virtual Lawyers Luncheon featuring our annual award presentations and the passing of the gavel to president-elect Michelle Greenway Sellers. We will send out scheduling and registration information next week.
While our TBA physical office is closed, we are still working remotely to provide resources for attorneys across the state. If you have a chance, please take a look at my most recent TBJ president’s column to learn about TBA’s work during the pandemic and my message of hope as we move forward. Please continue to check the TBA's pandemic resources section for information on relevant TBA online courses, court orders, executive orders, and other relevant policies and procedures around the state.
A Special Thanks
TBA appreciates its members now more than ever during this unprecedented time. Thank you for continuing to participate in our continuing legal education programs and roundtables. Thank you for responding to our survey and providing feedback on our services. Thank you for sharing your expertise and serving on a variety of committees, task forces and sections. We could not have a bar association without the support and dedication of our members. Thank you for continuing to support us so that we can continue supporting you.
We look forward to providing virtual networking opportunities and programming in June and are counting the days until we can all see each other again. Please stay safe and take care.
