Tennessee High School Mock Trial -- 2021 Volunteer Registration for Grand Division Competitions
For all volunteer attorneys to sign-up as a presiding judge, juror (scorer) or bailiff.

The 2021 Tennessee mock trial competitions will be completely virtual. We will use the Empire virtual competition platform to host both our grand division and state competitions. Traditionally, the state is divided into 14 districts with district competitions serving as qualifying events for the state competition. For 2021, the 14 districts have been consolidated into three competition zones mirroring the state’s three grand divisions: West, Middle and East. Grand divisions will host preliminary rounds. Winners of the grand division competitions will advance to the State competition. Download a list of districts or a map of the Districts and Grand Divisions.
Grand Division competitions will be held February 15-27. After registration ends, teams will be notified of its grand division competition dates by February 1. We need TBA members to serve as presiding judges and attorney volunteers to serve as scorers (jurors) and bailiffs (time keepers). Each trial round is allocated 3 hours to complete, but typically ends sooner. All volunteers will be notified before February 12 of the competition date, time and role for the competition. Please notify Mock Trial Chair, Kati Sanford-Goodner, if you haven't received your volunteer assignment by February 12. After grand division competitions, state qualifiers will be announced March 1. The State competition will be March 15-21. State competition volunteer assignments will be emailed by March 12.
