Position Description:

West Tennessee Legal Services, Inc. has an immediate opening for an attorney in our Victim Assistance and Advocacy Project. The attorney will provide civil legal assistance to victims of violent crime in various forums, including assertion of victim rights and pursuit of benefits and resources. The attorney will also represent victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and intimate partner stalking with post-divorce court order enforcement and establishment of and modifications to parenting plans and child support. Litigation experience on behalf of victims, and prior work with specialized client populations and/or ethnic or language distinct communities preferred. Excellent verbal, written, analytical, problem-solving and computer skills are required. The position is based in the WTLS Jackson office and requires travel within the 17 counties of WTLS’ service area. The successful candidate must be licensed to practice law in Tennessee. This is a full time, exempt position with generous benefits. Part-time candidates with excellent qualifications may also be considered.
