Position Description:

The Andersen Firm practices in estate planning, estate settlement and probate, and asset protection and is seeking an experienced trusts and estates attorney to be an integral part of our firm. Our Trusts & Estates attorneys counsel families and individuals regarding the administration and disposition of their estates through basic and sophisticated lifetime, estate and charitable planning.

Specific duties and responsibilities include working with and advising clients on the design and implementation of estate plans, assisting clients with charitable planning including the establishment of private foundations and other sophisticated charitable vehicles, advising the owners of closely held businesses on the design and implementation of succession plans; counseling fiduciaries in estate and trust settlement and administration.

This position offers immediate responsibility and client exposure. Salary will be commensurate with experience as well as a PFP structure.

Required Skills:
  • MUST have an active, good standing license as a TENNESSEE attorney.
  • Florida bar admission is a plus.
  • Must be able to manage a challenging workload within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Must be self-motivated, have an engaging personality and the personal presence to inspire client confidence.
  • Candidates should possess excellent academic credentials, strong communication skills, meticulous drafting ability and client development potential.
Required Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in with preference given to those with an LL.M in Taxation or Estate Planning.
  • The candidate should have significant experience in estate planning including drafting and administering estates, knowledge of estate and gift taxes, drafting trusts, a working knowledge of LLC structures and control, and the tax implications to each of these entities.
