Supreme Court Hears 3 Cases at Cumberland University

The Tennessee Supreme Court heard arguments in three cases yesterday at Cumberland University as a part of the Supreme Court Advancing Legal Education for Students (SCALES) Program. More than 1,000 high school and university students attended the session. Cumberland has a strong connection to the national and state judiciary. In all, 15 Cumberland alumni have served as chief justice or associate justice for the U.S. Supreme Court or the Tennessee Supreme Court, the Lebanon Democrat reports.
