Nashville, Feb. 2, 2026 — Applications are now being accepted for the Tennessee Bar Association’s 2026 Reporters Workshop, to be held in person April 24-25 in Nashville.

Organizers will select 15 print, online, television and/or radio journalists who want to develop a deeper understanding of media law issues that may affect their everyday work, including access to government information, defamation and privacy concerns in reporting, as well as other timely topics.

Journalists interested in attending should apply online before 5 p.m. CDT on March 16. Student journalists also may apply. In selecting the 15-member class, organizers will seek to include a balance of voices. Class selection will be announced by March 23, and those selected for participation will be notified by email.

There is no application fee, nor is there a registration fee for journalists selected to participate. Participants will incur costs getting to/from Nashville and lodging for Friday night. However, the selected journalists will receive a stipend to help defray the cost of travel.

The workshop will begin on the afternoon of Friday, April 24. It will start with a networking lunch followed by afternoon programming. Saturday will include another set of sessions and lunch before concluding in the early afternoon.
