American Bar Association YLD – The ABA is currently accepting applications for leadership appointments for the 2016-2017 bar year. There are over 300 positions among the ABA YLD's committees, boards and teams. Applications are due Feb. 15. For more information, visit the ABA website. Chattanooga Bar Association YLD – The Chattanooga YLD is wrapping up a busy 2015 and just had its annual elections. Corrin Fulton of Gearhiser, Peters, Elliott & Cannon will serve as the Chattanooga YLD’s new President. Brittany Thomas Faith of Grant Konvalinka & Harrison will serve as the group’s Vice President, and Drew Reynolds of Spears, Moore, Rebman & Williams will serve as the group’s Secretary. Jackson Madison County Bar Association YLD – The Jackson-Madison County YLD will be working with the Hands Up pre-school this year as well as several other organizations. Knoxville Bar Association Barristers – The Barristers elected new officers at its Annual Meeting Dec. 9. Rachel Hurt with Arnett, Draper & Hagood took office as president. Samantha Parris was elected vice president. Mitchell Panter was elected secretary/treasurer. Heather Ferguson and Sarah J. Watson were elected board members at large. The group has a number of events and activities planned for the upcoming year:
 
Race against Racism – The Diversity Committee plans to participate in the YWCA’s Annual Race against Racism on Jan. 16. Pre-race festival starts at 11 a.m. and the race begins at 1 p.m. Those interested in joining the team should contact Amanda Morse or Zack Gardner.
 
Law School Mock Interviews – The Law School Mentor Committee is looking for volunteers to conduct mock interviews Feb. 1-5 at the UT College Law. Contact Caitlyn Elam if you're interested in participating.
 
Solo/Small Firm Panel – Volunteers are also needed for a Solo/Small Firm Panel at UT Law in March. Contact Caitlyn Elam if you re interested in participating.
 
Finally, the group reports that its 2015 Canned Food Drive broke all previous records. Second Harvest also reported that the total raised is by far one of the highest food/fund drives by any professional organization. Category winners are: 
 
Raw Pounds of Food: Arnett, Draper & Hagood with 493.4 pounds donated
Total Bonus Pounds for Competition: Kramer Rayson with 18,831.30 pounds
Pounds per Attorney: Paine, Tarwater & Bickers: 704.20 pounds/attorney

Matt Kroplin was was elected secretary and Tera Rica Murdock was elected treasurer. Rachel Rosenblatt was named Events Director, Will Hicky was named Professional Development Director and Peter Robinson named Public Service Director.
