The TBA YLD Board invites specialty and minority bars in the state to name a representative to serve as an unfunded and non-voting member of the board. The goal of the invited guest program is to increase diversity among the board and provide an opportunity for young lawyers involved in other legal organizations to have a voice in the state bar association. Association for Women Attorneys (AWA) – Tonight the AWA will be participating in MBA YLD Grizz Night as the Memphis Grizzles take on the Denver Nuggets.  AWA will be holding a Incarcerated Civil Law Legal Clinic on April 23 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Shelby County Jail East, 6201 Haley Road in Memphis. The group will provide civil law legal advice to those incarcerated who cannot afford legal fees on topics such as: veteran issues, divorce, custody, visitation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, landlord/tenant, employment, and others. East Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women (ETLAW) – Leslie L. Beale, JD, the founder of and Success Coach at Profusion Strategies, recently presented Habits to Help You Thrive in the Practice of Law at ETLAW’s March monthly meeting.

National Bar Association, S.L. Hutchins Chapter – NBA S.L. Hutchins Chapter in Chattanooga held its first meet and greet on March 17 with an amazing turnout of over 20 lawyers in attendance. The Honorable Judge Curtis Collier was in attendance and expressed his full support in continuing to have an active chapter.
