American Bar Association YLD – ABA President Paulette Brown is in Nashville today visiting with the local Boys & Girls Club. Recognize your affiliate’s service to the bar and to the public in Awards of Achievement. Applications are due June 15.

Blount County Bar Association YLD – The Blount County Bar YLD will hold its monthly meeting on April 19 at noon. Executive committee elections will be held. For more information contact President Nick Black, (865) 238-0665.
 
Chattanooga Bar Association YLD – The Chattanooga Bar Association YLD continues to have monthly social happy hours with the next one tentatively scheduled for May 25th at Universal Joint.  The YLD will continue its quarterly Coffee Talks with local judges throughout this upcoming year.  The group will be having doing its Access to Justice pro bono legal clinic on May 21st at Dallas Bay Baptist Church in Hixson.  For more information about the group contact President Corrin Fulton, (423) 756-5171, or follow the group on Facebook.
 
Jackson Madison County Bar Association YLD – The Jackson-Madison County YLD will be working with the Hands Up pre-school this year as well as several other organizations. Knoxville Bar Association Barristers – The Barristers have a number of events and activities planned for the upcoming year:
  
The Access to Justice Committee invites you to volunteer at the next Saturday Bar on May 6.  Also on May 6, the KBA Law & Liberty Award will be presented at the KBA Law Day.
 
The Barristers Volunteer Breakfast is a recurring event on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:15 a.m. The Barristers Volunteer Breakfast Committee always need volunteers to serve food or sponsor.  Sign up here
 
This year’s Barristers Professional Clothing Drive in April was a smashing success, thanks to innumerable generous donors and the many hardworking volunteers who helped make the event possible.  Literally truckloads of clothing were donated to the YWCA, the Connect Ministries Career Closet, and Knox Area Rescue Ministries.  Thank you all for your support of this wonderful cause!
 
The Law Week & School Outreach Committee thanks all of the volunteers who participated in the Junior Judges presentations over the past month.  We appreciate you for making it a successful event.

Northeast Tennessee Young Lawyers Association – Sunny Sandos will be President of NETYLA for the 2016-2017 year.  The board currently has vacancies, so if you are a young lawyer in Sullivan County, Washington County, Johnson County, Carter County, Unicoi County, Greene County, Hamblen County, Hawkins County or Hancock County and want to become more involved, please contact Sunny Sandos, (423) 439-4641.

Williamson County Bar Association YLD – The WCBA-YLD recently held a social at Cool Springs Brewery. The WCBA-YLD annual meeting will be held at 325 Bridge Street on May 16th, 2016, at 5:00.
