American Bar Association YLD – Nashville lawyer and ABA representative Matt Potempa was recently honored as “Best of the Bar" by the Nashville Business Journal.

Blount County Bar Association YLD – The Blount County Bar YLD recently held an its monthly meeting and had executive committee elections. For more information contact President Nick Black, (865) 238-0665.
 
Chattanooga Bar Association YLD –The Chattanooga Bar Association YLD continues to have monthly social happy hours with the next one tentatively scheduled for June 22 at the Spring Hill Marriott. The YLD will continue its quarterly Coffee Talks with local judges throughout this upcoming year with the next one tentatively scheduled for June 9 at 7:30 a.m. with our local Circuit Court judges.
 
The group recently had a successful Access to Justice pro bono legal clinic.

Jackson Madison County Bar Association YLD – The Jackson-Madison County YLD will be working with the Hands Up pre-school this year as well as several other organizations. Knoxville Bar Association Barristers – The Barristers Volunteer Breakfast is a recurring event on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:15 a.m. The Barristers Volunteer Breakfast Committee always need volunteers to serve food or sponsor. Sign up here
 
Law Week & School Outreach Committee: Thanks to all of the volunteers who participated in the Junior Judges presentations over the past month.  We appreciate you for making it a successful event.
 
This year’s Barristers Professional Clothing Drive was a smashing success, thanks to innumerable generous donors and the many hardworking volunteers who helped make the event possible. Truckloads of clothing were donated to the YWCA, the Connect Ministries Career Closet and Knox Area Rescue Ministries. Thank you all for your support of this wonderful cause!

Williamson County Bar Association YLD – The WCBA-YLD held its annual meeting earlier this month and elected the following officers for this coming year: Jason Talley was confirmed as the incoming President for this coming year, Kendall White was elected Secretary, Sam Cross was elected as a member-at-large, and Nathan Powers will continue to serve as social chair. The WCBA YLD will host a Happy Hour at the Boathouse in downtown Franklin beginning at 5 p.m. on June 9.
