The Legal Assistance Volunteers for Patent Applicants (LAVPA) program has begun matching attorneys with inventors to assist in completing patent applications. Online applications from inventors are being received, and attorney volunteers are signing up, through online forms found on the TBA.org website.

Future volunteer recruiting and events are planned for Knoxville, Nashville and Memphis. Volunteer attorneys are in demand and vital to the success of the program. Those interested in volunteering to process patent applications may sign up through the TBA.org website. To find other ways you or your firm can support the program, contact LAVPA Coordinator J. Scott “Skip” Rudsenske, (615) 277-3207.
