Vanderbilt University has named Michelle Tellock as its new deputy general counsel, the school reported this week. Tellock joins the school from the Washington, D.C.-based law firm Hogan Lovells, where she was a senior associate in its education practice. Tellock will manage and supervise the distribution of legal work of the office, allowing Ruby Z. Shellaway, vice chancellor, general counsel and university secretary, to focus on key matters and strategic planning.
