8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT

Join us for a full day of construction law education designed to meet the needs of both new and experienced practitioners. This continuing legal education program offers two tracks in one: introductory sessions in the morning for those looking to strengthen their foundational knowledge, and advanced sessions in the afternoon for practitioners seeking deeper insights into complex construction law issues.
Our morning program will focus on a practical overview of essential construction law topics, beginning with the fundamentals of preserving and enforcing lien rights on construction projects. Participants will also review recent case law developments to stay current on legal trends that may affect their work. In addition, the course highlights common construction law mistakes and offers strategies to avoid costly pitfalls.
After lunch, our forum shifts focus to more complex issues facing Tennessee construction lawyers. We'll start with the nuances of payment obligations and statutory compliance under the Prompt Pay Act. The program also examines the growing influence of artificial intelligence on construction projects and legal practice. Finally, attendees will explore ethics considerations unique to construction law, strengthening their professional judgment and compliance.
