The employee filed a workers’ compensation action alleging that he suffered a low back injury while working as a meat trimmer on his employer’s assembly line. The trial court held that employee’s claim was barred by Tenn. Code Annotated section 50-6-203’s oneyear statute of limitations and that the employee failed to establish that his injury was work related. Pursuant to Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 51, this appeal has been referred to the Special Workers’ Compensation Appeals Panel for a hearing and a report of findings of fact and conclusions of law.
