As part of the TBA's efforts to advocate for the passage of legislation important to the practice of law, we need your stories and voice. TBAImpact is how we make sure your voice is heard in the halls of Congress and the General Assembly on issues important to sustaining and improving the practice of law and administration of justice. Through TBAImpact, discover key issues facing lawyers in the legislature, voice your support or dissent, and find out how you can connect with your representatives.

To receive updated information and to engage with the legislators on key issues for your law practice, we need you. As part of your TBA membership, TBAImpact connects you with the TBA’s advocacy and lobbying efforts. Have questions? Contact bgadd@tba3.org.

I am excited to be on board as your new public policy coordinator at the TBA. Working closely with the Government Affairs Committee to help represent the TBA and its members before the General Assembly and other policy making bodies, I will be also be working closely with you, your committees and sections to develop your legislation initiatives. Keeping you up-to-date during the legislative session via email, conference call, and TBAImpact will be a central focus. I am also looking forward to working with you to build your personal relationships with your legislators. (This means that I will come to you! There is nothing more important than you having a personal relationship with your legislator, and I want to help you build that relationship.)

Prior to joining the TBA, I served in a variety of positions within state government from Tennessee Senate Chief of Staff, legislative senate committee research analyst as well as working for the Governor’s office and as a departmental legislative liaison. Most recently I served as lobbyist and Vice-President of CivicPoint, which is the governmental affairs arm of the law firm Frost, Brown, Todd, before managing the successful and historical retention election of the Tennessee Supreme Justices election in the fall of 2014. Proud to hold degrees from the Nashville School of Law, Yale University’s Women Campaign School, and Maryville College.

Bringing all of these experiences together, I look forward to working with each of you. Please feel free to reach out to me at anytime via email, office or on my mobile. I want to hear your ideas on all of our advocacy, engagement, and legislative matters.
