The TBA’s third annual "Raising the Bar" program, hosted by the Women in the Profession Committee, will take place Dec. 4 at Baker Donelson’s Nashville office. This event is open to all attorneys and law firm management professionals. The program will begin with keynote speaker Megan Barry, who will discuss her new book "It's What You Do Next: The Fall and Rise of Nashville's First Female Mayor." TBA’s Entertainment and Sports Law Section will host its annual forum on May 7, 2025, at Belmont College of Law in Nashville. The TBA Young Lawyers Division is continuing its Rookie Series with a live webcast on Feb. 13 at noon CST on the topic of "Combating Burnout Through Mentorship: Supporting the Next Generation of Attorneys." In this course, a panel of experienced young lawyers and judge will discuss the critical role mentorship plays in preventing burnout among young lawyers. Panelists will share their personal experiences on how mentorship has supported their careers and well-being and how they are now paying it forward by guiding the next generation of lawyers. TBA’s 29th Annual Labor and Employment Law Forum will be held on May 2, 2025, at the Tennessee Bankers Association Bradley L. Barrett Training Center in Nashville. The Tennessee Bar Association will hold its first-ever Conference on Artificial Intelligence & the Law (TCAIL) in Nashville on Dec. 6. The TBA Young Lawyers Division (YLD) is sponsoring a webcast on Nov. 21 beginning at noon CST titled "What Attorneys Must Know About Secondary and Vicarious Trauma." A panel of speakers will explore how exposure to the traumatic experiences of clients can affect lawyers' mental health and overall well-being.
