 The Transformative Justice Coalition (TJC) and the National Bar Association (NBA) are seeking applicants for an Election Protection Fellow, a one-year full-time position. The Office of the Post-Conviction Defender is now accepting applications for an assistant post-conviction defender and an investigator. As part of a team, both the assistant post-conviction defender and the investigator will work with one another and with paralegals on behalf of clients to develop both guilt and innocence and sentencing claims, as well as grounds for clemency. The assistant defender must have a law license or eligibility for admittance to the Tennessee State Bar within six months of being employed. Mid-South Immigration Advocates is seeking a full-time Survivors’ Project Staff Attorney to provide civil legal services in Memphis to immigrant victims of violent crime, particularly domestic violence and sexual assault. The attorney will work closely with victim advocates to ensure clients’ civil needs are met in a holistic manner, including representation for orders of protection, divorce, child support/custody/visitation, and other related civil matters.
