The TBA Staff attended a respect in the workplace training led by TBA Member Luther Wright Jr. from Ogletree Deakins. The training incorporated information from TBA’s newly revised policy handbook on discrimination and harassment as it relates to staff interaction with one another, contractors, vendors and also interaction with members. A critical component of the training was the following policy language: “It is the TBA’s policy that everyone should work in an environment free from unlawful harassment. Approval of, participation in, or acceptance of conduct that creates even the potential for unlawful harassment will be considered a violation of this policy. This policy prohibits conduct that violates the letter or spirit of anti-harassment laws or conduct not aligned to the TBA’s values, policies, or behavioral expectations. This includes conduct in any work-related setting, whether on the TBA premises, during working time, or while participating in activities outside the workplace such as business-related social events and travel.”

The TBA appreciates and values our working environment and appreciates the commitment from our members to maintain a respectful environment as it relates to their volunteer work through the association as well as to their interactions with staff, contractors and interns.
