Gov. Bill Haslam signed the controversial “natural and ordinary” bill into law today over calls from LGBT advocates to veto it, the Nashville Post reports. Haslam stated he did not believe the law would accomplish “anything that isn’t already relied upon by the courts, even after the U.S. Supreme Court’s Obergefell decision.” The legislation requires states to use the “natural and ordinary” meaning of undefined words in state law.
