The city of Knoxville closed on its $2.47 million purchase of the former State Supreme Court site. The Knoxville News Sentinel reports the city plans on using a market study to determine how to use the site, including possible retail, residential and hotel space. "It's very important to the identification for the city that (the site) have some kind of vibrancy," said Dawn Michelle Foster, the city's redevelopment director.
