Moreland Pleads Guilty in Federal Court

Former Nashville judge Casey Moreland pleaded guilty today in federal court in accordance with an agreement between the disgraced judge and federal prosecutors, The Tennessean reports. His charges include obstruction of justice, retaliating against a witness, fraud of a federal program, destruction of records and witness tampering. Moreland was first indicted in April 2017 and has been accused of attempting to bribe a former girlfriend and embezzling money from the Davidson County Drug Court.
