The TBA YLD Fellows William M. Leech Jr. Public Service Award is given to a Tennessee lawyer who has been of outstanding service to the profession, legal system and the community. The award is named for former Attorney General William M. Leech and was given to him posthumously in 1997.
Selection Process
The Fellows of the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division select the recipient of this award based on nominations from members of the group.
Award Criteria
Recipients are selected based on their commitment to the ideals embodied in the life of General Leech.
Award Presentation
The award consists of a plaque presented during the TBA Annual Meeting and Lawyers Luncheon, held in conjunction with the TBA Convention each June.
